Kaden's Surgery

Resting

Very Swolen

Kaden had to have an "unexpected" surgery on Tuesday evening, Dec. 28th. I took him to the dentist earlier in the day (10:00 a.m.) to get a cavity filled, and when the dentist was giving him a shot to numb the tooth the needle broke off in his cheek. We were sent straight to an oral surgeon who decided it would be best to send him over to the hospital where they could put him under to remove the needle. Kaden was in surgery for about an hour (5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.) and was in recovery for about 5 hours. We finally made it home at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He cheek was very swolen (looked like a baseball in his cheek) and tender, but he is finally doing much better. He ate solid foods for the first time last night. We will meet with the oral surgeon next week for a check-up.
