We have been real busy recently, but I don't think we would want it any other way. Between both boys we have baseball 3-4 times a week. In addition Kaden has had some basketball activities that he has really enjoyed. The boys have made some really good friends playing sports and for that I am very thankful. I will close with a picture of Kaden who recently attended the Damon Bailey Basketball Camp in Shoals. He had a great time with his friend Brycen, and I hope they can both go again next year. ("Thank You" Libby for the pictures.)

Beginning of Summer Vacation

The boys have really enjoyed the beginning of their summer vacation. Kaden and Karsen have just finished up soccer, and they are now very busy with baseball season in Montgomery. On Friday they were all able to help their daddy in the field. They really enjoyed this. I snapped a picture and then turned it into a digital painting. I wanted to share how it turned out.

Update
I'm sorry it has been so long since I have posted. We have been really busy recently. We have soccer 4 out of the 7 days in a week (3 days of practice / 1 game day). Kaden and Karsen both play on a team and are doing really well. I enjoying watching them play. Karsen scored his first goal at his last game and it was a big deal. Soccer season will be over at the end of May.
Baseball will be starting up soon. Kaden and Karsen will both be playing at Barr-Reeve. They are really looking forward to this again this year. That should keep us busy until about the middle of July. In addition to baseball this summer, Kaden also has plans to attend some basketball camps. He has been attending practices at B-R on Saturday mornings and really loves it. My 4th grade students have been so good to him at practice. They have really made him feel special by giving him a lot of attention.
I can't believe that there are only 11 days of school left. I have had a wonderful year (awesome kids) and will be sad to see it end. I also can't believe that Kaden will be in 2nd grade next year and Karsen will begin preschool. Where has time gone?
Karsen will celebrate his 5th birthday this week...wow! It just seems like yesterday that I was in the hospital for chasing a 2 1/2 year old (aka Kaden) driving a Dodge Durango down my driveway. Poor little Karsen was probably so shook up from all of the excitement. After using a walker to get around, Karsen was born 2 weeks later. Thank God for the happy ending.

Busy Week
It seems that we have been really busy lately. Kaden has recently finished up Baseball Academy weekly practices in Vincennes and YMCA basketball games in Washington. We have also been busy running around to High School basketball games. Our boys enjoy doing this as much as anything else. They love watching Barr-Reeve Basketball. They are especially excited this week because it is tournament time. They are big fans of all of the players.
Also recently we have dealt with some sickness in our home. Kaden and Karsen have had coughs for some time, but Korben has probably suffered the most. On Monday I took him to his doctor after school, and when we arrived in Jasper his temperature was up to 104. They treated him in the office with meds and asked me to bring him back again the following morning. His check-up went well on Tuesday, and I think he is finally on his way to recovery.

Farm Show
On Saturday we all attended the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky. This is something that the boys have looked forward to for a long time. Fortunately it worked out for us this year as Kaden's basketball game that was supposed to be on that day was rescheduled. It had been a couple of years since we were last there. I think we posed on nearly everything in the arena for a picture. It is amazing to me how much equipment is on display, as well as how many people attend the event. I'm sure the boys are already looking forward to next year's show.
